When you open your mind to the impossible, without choking on its deep connection to the distastefully obvious, you may just find the truth. This is why so many brilliant minds have, at the end of a costly and brutally honest discovery process, found Christianity to be horrifyingly, yet blessedly, true. The ultimate reality cosmologists are seeking in front of them is at the same place grown-up, backslidden Sunday-School children are trying to put behind them: Science, with a Science-Fiction-worthy Mind behind it. Nature, with flaws--and potential--that only a Supernatural Mind can rationally describe. Ordered Reality, with an unexplained Surreal Agency intervening as He sees fit. The most horrifying truth behind it all, which even Hawking and Einstein admitted our best powers are merely skirting, may well just turn out to be the one some little old lady with a flannel graph tried to teach you as a kid. (Im betting my life on it, as well as my soul, as a matter of fact.) There is a God. He has a Son. Theres guilt, and just Wrath. They hatched a grand scheme worthy of Spielberg and Cameron and Peter Jackson and Lucas in order to save every human possible. And the gatekeepers of this reality-rooted fantasy are not the brightest and best... ...but the humblest and most honest: Those who might not shy away from the Truth, even if it came dressed in a Bible and a pulpit & pew, & a set of praying hands. No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor mind conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.
