When you see a man or people who have been crushed or severely - TopicsExpress

When you see a man or people who have been crushed or severely oppressed, you pay attention to his or their complaints and anguish to enable you understand how you can help them. Your attention alone gives the person a sense of hope; and when you say reassuring words to them, they feel a sense of relief. Following the destruction, and captivity of the children of Israel, Jerusalem was in a state of ruins; Nehemiah heard about the destruction and the helplessness of the people. He wanted to do something but needed help, since he could not do it all alone; he sought the Lords attention and help, hence he prayed O LORD BE ATTENTIVE TO MY PRAYERS. There are four things that Nehemiah did. He wept and mourned over the state of Jerusalem and its people because he could feel their pain and anguish. Secondly, he fasted and prayed. Thirdly, he confess the sins of the people and fourthly, he reminded God of his promises to Israel. The Lord paid attention to his request and gave him the enablement he needed to actualize the dream of rebuilding Jerusalem and its walls. God is ready to pay attention to your prayers. The question is, what are you asking of Him? What kind of prayer do you make often? Nehemiah was not concern about himself but his people. When last did you pray for your country and its leaders? What of your extended and nuclear family? What about your community? Are you not tired of the wickedness and idolatry in the land? When you are ready to handle this cases and you bring them before the Lord, he will pay attention. God is ready to turn his attention to you when you are ready to table the right issues before him! Many complain of praying without answers. The truth is that you must be ready to move the heart of God by the type of things you ask for, and your attitude towards asking. For instance, he says in 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. Stop complaining about how far God has been. Bring yourself before Him in humility and ask from a broken spirit. God want you to be concern about the needs of the people around you. It is the key to your breakthrough and closer fellowship with Him. Try to pray fervently concerning the needs of the men and women around you and see if He will not open the heavens to you. Every prince of darkness that has mounted a wall around us (Catholic family) let it fall in the name of Jesus. Amen
