When you wake up having lost almost all faith, you need something to get you out the door in the morning. I happened upon this full concert by Paul Weller and The Jam in Birmingham (sweet timing with the Diamond League Meet coming up) and Im not entirely unconvinced Paul didnt get in a time machine, follow me around for five years, then write the music and put together a set list for this show. I think the only thing that would have sealed it was closing with Butterfly Collector instead of making it the penultimate song. I guess if he had done that he knew it would be too obvious. Well youve finally got what you wanted, youve achieved your aim, by making the walking lame.
