When young, for us Ganesh Chaturthi means Gonnsa Fog My dad used - TopicsExpress

When young, for us Ganesh Chaturthi means Gonnsa Fog My dad used to give me Rs.50, a lot of fog could be bought of that price. Infact, all neighbourhood kids came to our place to watch the fire work year after year (We were very few of the richest - My dad was tarvotti) We bought rockets too, when lit, it would go forward and backward for which we tied a string from one coconut tree to another. Sursurem, Paus, girgirem, Gornal, Sorop, striking stones, plastic rocket when thrown up will fire only when it strikes on the ground cemented floor, arm or pistol or automatic gun that will fire continuously, there were two types of bullets - one round kukum like individual bullets for rockets etc and the other one is roll of bullets. https://flickr/photos/joegoaukextras/3869978145/ Now I dont buy these stuff nor encourage anyone to buy.. HAPPY GANESH CHATURTHI TO YOU ALL
