When your baby has outgrown their crib, what do you do with it? You could try to donate or sell it, but while thats possible it may be hard to do since there are so many safety rule changes and so lots of places wont take these older cribs. So what else can you do? Lots of readers have gotten creative and repurposed their old cribs into new pieces of furniture. The first photo is from a reader, Alexis, who says: A desk for me. Most cribs made before 2010 are illegal to sell as they have all been recalled as the industry standards have changed. This means that even perfectly usable cribs are being repurposed or thrown away which is why you are seeing so many crib projects these days. The second photo is from another reader, Donna, who says: I turned ours into a reading nook. I got the chairs and box underneath for a couple of dollars at a second hand shop. It gets used a lot.
