When your heart is broken... at the memorial, there sat a man all - TopicsExpress

When your heart is broken... at the memorial, there sat a man all by himself. I went up to him and said, hello, I am Coltons mother. Thank you for coming.. He introduced himself and said he was there because Colton had helped his son when he worked at Shojis... His eyes started to water and he went on to say things about how and why Colton mattered in his life... Colton gave love so freely and shared so much of who he was with others. As I was listening to this Elvis song, which by the way was a song and artist my mother would sing (she had a really deep beautiful singing voice), I am reminded that a tortured soul can be at the top of their game or the bottom and still not get what they need... it seems so wrong to me. MIke, Coltons dad, was telling the story of how on his visit to see Colton and the kids the first week in August, Colton, noticed the shape of his camping book. Colt said-- Dad, how old is that book? You cant use that to find camping spots... A little while later, Colton shows up with a new camping book for him. Mike said he was so touched by Colts care and generosity. That was Colt.
