When your life does not turn out as you had planned, you have two - TopicsExpress

When your life does not turn out as you had planned, you have two distinct choices: stop living or keep walking. For me, the only choice has been to keep going and to try to make something meaningful come from all of the sadness. It is in this effort, our family foundation, that I pour all of my energy, my passion, and even my grief. When we lost Kass, I thought I would never smile again. When we lost our Dad, I knew that the foundation on which our entire family was built had crumbled in an instant. What I have learned is that neither one of these notions came to pass. There is not one hour of the day that I do not think about my Dad and my sister. I know this is hard to understand unless you have walked on this side of loss, but it is true. My life is forever changed. But, the underpinnings of our family were built on love; and the strength of love endures forever. In fact, our footing is more solid than it has ever been because we are bound by knowing and understanding that each moment is important and significant. We carry the memories and the love with us wherever we go. “Memory is the scribe of the soul,” Aristotle opined. How true this is…. Please take a moment to like our page! I believe (and hope) that my Dad and Kass would be proud of what we are trying to do to help others….one moment, one person, one story….at a time. #leadwithlove #gratitude
