WhenSaturday, February 22, 2014 Time7:00pm About our Ministry Earl and Jana Thurner have been married for over 35 years and have been privileged to minister for God since they met! They have 5 children, 8 grandchildren and one on the way, due February 2014. They are both ordained ministers(CMM/Morningstar located in Charlotte, North Carolina). They spent the first 12 years ministering in the Pacific Northwest USA, primarily as evangelists while also involved in every realm of church life. God directed them to Hawaii in 1986 where the vision to become part of a great awakening was first birthed. Shortly after that, they had the privilege of becoming part of the staff of Kings Cathedral and Chapels, under Dr. James Marocco. We are always deeply appreciative of Dr. Marocco and Pastor Colleen for who they are and what they have meant to our family and ministry!! We had the joy of pastoring a number of extension churches on the islands of Lanai, Molokai and birthing works in French Polynesia and Paia also and teaching in the Christian school and being involved with many aspects of Kings Cathedral’s ministry. It was in Kaahumanu Hou Christian School on November 10, 1994 at 9 o’clock in the morning that Earl had a powerful and life changing encounter with God. This culminated in 11 months of intense hunger to know God more personally, be more like Christ in character and have more of Gods power to convince people of His reality and come to know Him as never before. Within minutes of the descent of the Spirit of God, revival broke out in the school for the next 7 hours. To this day, many of the young people tell us that that moment forever marked them. While under the presence of God, the Lord said He was sending Earl to the nations. When he asked God what to tell them, God simply said, “Tell them if they are hungry for Me, I am coming now”. This began to happen 2 months later in the nation of Fiji, where for 23 days and nights, an unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place from Suva to Nadi and many other cities, villages, homes, hospitals, government offices, in churches, open air meetings and the nationally broadcast meeting in Suva saw an astounding visitation of God upon government leaders, chiefs, spiritual and business leaders. ( I would return to Fiji 10 times the few years following) Over the years, we have seen the same in Costa Rica where God poured out His Spirit in the central valley of the nation culminating in an extraordinary manifestation of His glory and power in the largest church in the nation. In early 2006, we saw the same in Paris, France and God began a great outpouring in French Polynesia in June 2007. A tour around the main island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific saw the people of every village flattened, literally overwhelmed by God presence and this was under a blazing sun!! When God is free to be Himself and the Holy Spirit not imprisoned in our lives or in His people, He can truly make Himself known and we have seen this in many nations for nearly 20 years. Prior to 2007, most of DOAN focus has been in the South Pacific, Fiji, New Zealand, Vanuatu, the islands of Hawaii and French Polynesia. Since December 2007, Central America has been the focus, primarily in Nicaragua and Honduras. We developed Schools of Supernatural Ministry on Maui, Florida, Nicaragua and French Polynesia but the one in Nicaragua launched a nationwide ministry that is centered in Dario, Nicaragua where we have an incredible team to bring transformation to the city and region.
