Whenever I am in EL, I visit an oasis that I have chosen for myself.Its a nearby park a short drive from the office.To afford this , I leave home early drop my gal at school and then leave myself a few minutes of solitude .I park the car at the same spot,under the same trees, always facing the same direction.Give or take a few minutes my timing is spot on.Somehow my mind is attuned to this ritual and my thoughts shift into autopilot: GRATITUDE...thankful that despite all its amazing qualities, I am not a tree.That despite all the free seeds it gets for food, I am not a bird.That despite all the free water it gets from the sky, I am not grass.They are all here to please me.Yes you heard me right:They are ALL here for my pleasure! CONCERN...that the trees,birds and grass are still doing a far much better job at being themselves and fulfilling their purpose. WORRIED...that I am not alone!That me and my fellow travellers are missing a few salient points about this whole purposenarrative. HOPEFUL...that everyday is a chance to find it..live it and be what GOD meant us to be.For,his plan is not to harm BUT prosper us just as he does the pine tree, the dove and the elephant grass!!!
