Whenever I get too frustrated with the state of todays political environment, where everything is so polarized along partisan and ideological lines, young leaders like Tom Coale step up and provide me with an abiding confidence in the future. A Democrat who is running for the House of Delegates in Howard County, Tom is a true fiscal moderate who understands that state government wont be able to sustain our investments in those priorities that we all care about - such as better schools, safer communities and a cleaner Bay - until we tighten our belts and draw a hard line on excessive, unnecessary spending. In other words, Tom stands for fiscal responsibility with a purpose.
