Whenever I see a group fitness class or, watch out... Im going to say it... a cross fit class, I think of the words, group suicide. Meaning, only a small percentage of fitness pros running these classes actually screen each client and are acutely aware of each participants bio-mechanical issues. THEN when you compound that fact of ignorance with intensity, the result will almost always lead to injury, discouragement, systemic fatigue, health issues and can crush the spirit of a client, making them a candidate for quitting exercise all together! SHAME on those fitness professionals! ANYONE CAN MAKE A WORKOUT, BUT IT TAKES SKILL TO CREATE A PROGRAM. Find those who are skilled my peeps and stay away from fly-by-night fitness fads.
