Whenever I travelled abroad, i met poor and lonely ppl from the indian sub continent who used to gravitate towards me cos they were lonely and homesick. i felt their loneliness. they clung to me. One Paki female student in DC needed my company badly and offered to buy me coffee in return for my company and chat. i declined her coffee offer. She was so lonely. It was Mothers Day and she commented: In Pak, every day is mothers day. Agreed. She confided to me she was missing her mother badly.... Some Sri Lankan hotel workers questioning me and chit chatting wt me too much.... A homesick stewardess on a PIA flight came to me at least half a dozen times during my flight from DC to KHI and apologised,...she was damn homesick and very pleased to serve and chat wt a fellow Paki..... Indian fellows at O Hare airport chatting wt mom and me too much...he was just pleased to find somebody from his part of the world... Seems like Indian/Pakis become normal when thy r minorities abroad....lol... SWEET and SAD!
