Whenever it snows, I think about the Wright family. A few years ago, it snowed a lot. A WHOLE lot. It doesnt usually snow here, as you know, so all we had to shovel with at the store was a red plastic child-sized snow shovel, and there were no shovels to be bought anywhere in town. We did our best but it was kind of awful, because the plows kept coming by and throwing more snow on top. Late in the day, out of nowhere, came a cadre of Wright children and their dad, all bearing shovels -- and they proceeded to shovel our sidewalk completely clean in record time. It was one of the nicest things thats ever happened at Pufferbellies. To this day I think of it often, and it makes me want to do better, if I can. To be kinder. To think of other people first.
