Whenever we cannot take in dogs and cats we sometimes like to help out small animals in need since they dont require much and they are sometimes in bad situations too. (Weve had guinea pigs and bunnies come to rescue so far, but Im sure we will get into the ferrets at some point). So, today we received a call that someone was trying to surrender a bunny to the shelter. Once we spoke with the owner we knew we needed to take the bunny. It apparently belonged to the grandson and he no longer would care for it and she wasnt able to/didnt want to. They just wanted the bunny gone. (They didnt even know if it was a boy or girl). So, I met with them earlier and my suspicions were confirmed. Bunny had been kept outside in a teeny tiny hut with little to no bedding (and if it did have bedding it was wood chips). Bunny hadnt had anything to chew on and began chewing up his hut as well. So, we would like to welcome the newest member of the PPR....Seb..short for Sebastian...the bunny! This makes our second bunny at Camp PPR. Unfortunately, Seb and Lulu cannot be friends until one or both have been spayed/neutered. Until then, Seb will have Asher the three legged wonder kitty to keep him entertained. (Asher loves every single living thing.) We are also in need of bunny supplies!
