Where Does Your Confidence Come From? Do you get it from the things you own or the number of degrees you have? Or maybe its your work.. how much money you make? Do you take pride in your appearance, how well you can sing, play an instrument or some other talent or ability you have? Think about it for a moment. Gifts and talents are great. We should feel good about our accomplishment, possessions or abilities. Any of that can change in an instant and well find that our confidence wont sustain us for very long if we base it on those things. However, we can have outrageous confidence in the God who created us in His own image. Our personalities, gifts, talents and abilities are a part of Himself He put within us to be a blessing to others. And that is what makes each of us very special. So lets cultivate the things of God inside us, and build up our abilities and strengths, trusting the Holy Spirit to lead us and use us as He chooses to touch someone elses life. And then we can be free to enjoy and be blessed by the gifts and talents of others as well. Put your confidence in God. What a wonderful sense of freedom when you realize you dont have to depend on your own abilities! When you trust God to empower and enable you, your confidence can soar because you know He can do in and through you anything He wants to do. YOU DONT HAVE TO BE PERFECT, JUST BE YOU!
