Where Paul encourages his readers to “do not be conformed to this world” (Romans 121:2), he uses aioin–”age”–rather than kosmos, the usual term for the physical “world.” This is apparent that he is referring to the cultural and social characteristics of the age in which one lives that is the “world” we, and everyone else since Paul made the statement that are not to be conformed to. -- James Ellis
