Where am I searching for peace today? This is a very simple - TopicsExpress

Where am I searching for peace today? This is a very simple answer for me, because I search for peace in God and his Holy Word each day of my life. There are many types of bondage that can over run a life. Spiritual bondage would have to be one of the worse battles of our lives. We feel like the heavens have become brass over our heads and our prayers are not getting though to the Lord. It will cause us to feel like our friends do not love us and we will feel very lonely. What can I do to defeat spiritual bondage? One thing I have recommended for years is for people to speak Gods Word against this bondage. How do we accomplish this. Go to Psalms the first chapter thru the eleventh chapter and read at least the first verse in each one. Then go back and add a few verses and you will find some great promises of the Word of God that can and will set you free if we believe what it says. I can assure God still loves you and most of your friends do as well. Spiritual bondage is just one way the enemy of our soul tries to steal away our peace. Three are many kinds of bondage. Spiritual and physical are the two main ones that affects peoples lives. We dont always need to run for a pill when the pain of spiritual or physical complications set in. Try the Word of God first and stand on its promises. Most of my friends and family know I had the end of my thumb ripped off in a crossbow accident. I went from eight that morning until three that evening without any pain medication. They told me it would be the next day before they could sow it back on. I got some pain medicine and took by direction. It did not help the pain at all, but it did buzz my head. I refused to take them and got rid of them. I did take two aleve and two benadryl to make me sleep that night. We have to make choices in this life and one I made was I wanted something to work, but not something that would alter who I am and how I act. Some might ask did it hurt. It still gives me a lot of pain at times, but I have learned to live with it. Did it hurt when I first did it? Yes, very painful. Spiritual depression can hurt just as bad in our soul. I want to encourage all who have needs to take them to the Lord in prayer and stand on His Word. The promises of Gods Word are there for all who truly serve God. Serving God is a life style not just a style of wanting God to do something for us and then never going to church to worship Him. God will take care of His own. Find freedom from spiritual depression today through the promises of God. Written by Harold E. Miller
