Four years later we are told unemployment is way down - but for whom? People still cant make ends meet on their shrinking paycheck. A new report from FPI shows that in NYC median family income was still 5.2 percent lower in 2013 than it had been in 2008 at the start of the Great Recession. And many people having given up looking for jobs or taken early retirement. Officially, the state unemployment rate is 6.2% - about 2% higher than before the Recession.
