Where are the Unions ? Job loss after job loss, 500,000 Council - TopicsExpress

Where are the Unions ? Job loss after job loss, 500,000 Council jobs gone since 2010. 6000 nurses gone, 1500 of 5000 planned job losses to the MOD, 5800 planned for the Police Force, 15000 from Lloyds, RBS 20,000 ....et al Zero hours contracts, workfare, real wage reductions......... Bankers bonuses up 44%, MPs 11% pay rise, Eon Energy profits up 26%, Fat cats bonuses and profits up........ Sanctions, food-banks, starvation, suicides, homelessness, Council Tax and rent arrears Court cases, thousands of disabled people dead......et al Where are the Unions ? Miners fought for jobs, yes fossil fuels are bad but do you realise how much coal we import now for energy. 41% of our energy comes from Coal still - most of it imported, 44.8 million tonnes of it. Families of the miners spend their days trying not to be sanctioned, looking for work that doesnt exist. A thousand people going for 40 Aldi jobs, its not a first nor will it be a last. The scroungers being paid millions from tax payers whilst millions more are spent abroad on importing Coal. It was the same with Ship building. What will happen when most jobs become automated, when a computer can do what you do ? When you are forced to look for work that doesnt exist, only to be sanctioned and lose your home ? What will you do for health care when it becomes a profit only corporation ? Or when the G4S Police and Courts cant give you justice because you cannot afford the Serco lawyers ? Where are the Unions ? Solidarity is a word that has nothing to do with empathy anymore, because no one is feeling what others are going through at this present time. The misery, the endless black hole of despair, the solitude of having nowhere to turn to is all many have. That and death.
