Where do I start.. 4 months ago today my Dad (Michael Povey, 68) suffered a Brain haemorrhage whilst driving causing 2 minor car accidents. After being scanned at the Countess he was kept over night and taken to Walton the next day. He deteriorated very quickly that day and was taken to Intensive Care and operated on that night. We were told that they were going to do everything that they could to save his life and the amazing surgeons and Intensive Care nurses did just that. Dad was kept in intensive care for 4 weeks in Walton and then returned to the Countess nearer home for a further 2 weeks in Intensive Care only to return home on July 9th. When dad woke from his coma 2 weeks after his operation, his left side was completely paralysed and we were told he may not walk again. He is now able to stand up and walk using a frame. My Dad was saved by the amazing Staff at Walton Hospital. He also knows who we all are and his memory is pretty good too. We had many worrying and emotional days sitting at Dads bed side, hes only still here because of your amazing team ... Thank you X
