Where do atheist’s come from? For years I always wondered how someone could possibly be an atheist. Then after decades of searching, study, ministry and service I found myself coming to the conclusion that there is really no objective proof either way. However, looking at religion, either at the surface or even in a deep dive; you dont have to look far to find definite proof of the horrible damage it, (religion), can do to the society around it, no matter what the source of the religion. You can find that damage repeated time and again no matter if you look at ancient history, modern history or just yesterdays headlines. Where do atheist’s come from? This presentation is a debate between a Christian believer and an atheist which doesnt descend into name calling, recrimination and obsequious behavior and I think it’s informative. The sad thing for me is that I’ve found most folks who are ready to be in your face, loud and obnoxious in the defense of their point of view, in the defense of their “faith”, are usually the least prepared to really explain that point of view. While the gentleman in this presentation is not loud and obnoxious, he is no better prepared to explain/defend his point of view than most folks I’ve talked with. Does it just come down to facts verses feelings, or is there more to it. I think there is much more to it!
