Where do you want to be? I got off the phone with a guy I havent talked to in a good while. I was on my ride home. No need for name dropping...just one of those guys you just knew was going to be something huge (and now is). He had some down time and rang me up to find out what I was up to. I spent more time asking about him; what country hed been to, what toy he had bought, what he wanted to be doing, where was he going. I called up to talk to you, he said, what are you doing next?. Ill let you know when I find it,, I answered. More importantly, where do you want to go; whats next for you? He took a long pause (maybe 4 seconds...but silence always seems a lot longer). Really, man...I just want to go home., he said as his voice dropped. Wheres that?, I answered. Ill let you know when I get there., he laughed with that laugh thats there when the alternative is crying. Ive been there and I think we all have at some point, too. Well, looks like we both have some work to do, I said. But I expect an invitation to the house-warming when you find it. He laughed again. and expect an application when you find yours.
