Where does the time go? Thirty years ago today a broke... and broken-hearted, failed musician, comedian and DJ arrive in Gainesville, Florida for a new shot as a Radio and TV newscaster. At 25, it was time to reset the clock and start all over again. Sometimes in life we get second... and third, and fourth...and even fifth chances to succeed. My brother Bill drove me there, but since he is not on Facebook his kids Genevieve Kelley, Maura Dougherty and Will Curtis should know what a great man he and my other family members are to this day. I will be forever grateful to the friends and total strangers who picked me up and carried me along the way of this great journey, including my dear broadcasting friends Jamie Dupree, Gene Kirkconnell, Kathryn Bonfield, Cynthia Rivers, Bill Evans, Tina Evans, Pete Christensen, Tracey Brown Christensen, Rosey Moreno-Jones, Penny Loraine Daneau Crook, Ro Thomas Schwarz, Tori Nelson, Brad Belstock, Sal Castaneda, David McDonald, Shannon OBrien, Frank Somerville, Zelda Wallace, Pam Giganti, Kristi Krueger, Elizabeth Ann, Dee DeQuattro, Allie Cowley Corey, Andrea Medeiros, Roland De Wolk, Elvin Marino Sledge, Claudine Penney, Steven R. Cascione, Dan Fabrizio, Ken Wayne, Don Coyne, Bob Rockstrtoh, Bob Franken, Ron St Pierre, Buddy Cianci, Cecilia Vega, Paul Michael Mueller, Paul Kasper, Pat Pugliese, Carla Marinucci, John Wright. I know I have forgotten a lot of the Radio and TV folks, so please forgive me. My old St. Marys Elm Grove friends have been the dearest and most loyal Diane Baker Leanne Wollinka Gundrum, Peter Herzog, Mike Byrne, Kim Blaedow, Ruth Wagner. And to all my fellow musicians, I making a comeback, soon. Tom Kornkven, Jim Whitfield, Eric Gruchalski, Mary Lynn, Marie Ulsberger, Joann Joseph, Daniel Ray Lilley, Mark Cutler, Will Durst.. Most of all my immediate family Kathi Alexandra Curtis, , Miss East Greenwich 2014, Alexandra Curtis, Alexandra Curtis, Michael Curtis, Erin Curtis, and Patrick Curtis, and Shirley Ware have kept me sane.....well, somewhat sane...OK, barely sane....through the years. I LOVE you all!!! Heres to another 30 years on TV, Radio, and online...and maybe on stage, again, too!!!
