Where have our Emus gone?? Have you heard of the booklet Into Oblivion - documenting research on the imminent loss of dozens of Top End iconic species? This is the Top Ends biggest environmental issue. It is a story of indigenous cultures smashed. Followed by a major takeover of fire regimes by the pastoral industry, supported by sell out scientists, an ingrained pyromaniacal culture in our Bush Fire Brigade and an Environmental Movement compromised and complicit. Whistleblowing research by CSIRO Kapalga Fire Experiment has exposed the true damage our current fire regimes have inflicted on our environment. The rarity of the Partridge Pigeon and Gouldian Finches has long been linked to excessive fire, but the true consequences of our fire regimes are outlined in Into Oblivion where the future is a biological disaster, including the imminent loss of dozens of unique top end mammal species. Strider began working on this problem over 50 years ago. His analysis of fire in northern Australia has been proved right. He has a workable plan for the future, We are in the preliminary stages of producing a documentary and are establishing a Technical Reference Group to get the science right. If we have any budding research scientists that are keen to contribute? Right now, we need a producer to create a script so we can apply for funds. youtu.be/nN-cFsG-gmw
