Where is Ghana heading towards? Living conditions in Ghana continue to deteriorate on daily basis... when are we going to seriously tackle our economic woes...Sadly, I listened to a deputy minister of energy and petroleum making insensitive comments on the issue of the current fuel price hike. Doesnt the government of Ghana care about the difficulties imposed by these systemic failures on the ordinary citizens of Ghana? In fact, a percentage increase in the price of fuel translates into over a million increase in the expenditure of households. And, given our income, increases in our expenditure simply due to a rise in the prices of the goods and services we buy worst us off dramatically - u find yourself on a lower indifference curve -. With this, why shouldnt a government who has the love of his people at heart be worried when the price of an essential input goes up uncontrollably like we are experiencing today? The fact is that, our government doesnt give us the impression that he cares about us. Ghana must get serious!!! Where is Ghana heading toward???? Concerned!!!
