Where is the Malawi-South Korea labour export-import deal? Who has - TopicsExpress

Where is the Malawi-South Korea labour export-import deal? Who has the answers? Joyce, Peter? Whether Malawi could have been or will be the winner, or otherwise, in this deal is quiet arguable and the signing of the deal can probably attract a referendum, can’t it? Today, secondary schools across Malawi will, according to MANEB, exit about 145,000 boys and girls (not forgetting some men and women) into the “world” after being subjected to a rigorous three-week period of writing and scribbling of more passable 2014 MSCE papers than they were during Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda’s time and the early years of Muluzi; thus before he had gone “town boy”. Unfortunately, the world into which we are to welcome these chaps is a harsh, thorny and demanding one. It calls for some token in exchange with leggings; skinny’s; fashion hairdos; techno tablets; airtime for SMS’s, voice good-night calls to the ones (or twos) we care, facebook friend and love requests; and many other modern gadgetery. It is imperative consequently, that the government finds something with which to pacify these guys as they wait for their absorption into universities (for those whose brains and pockets are blessed) and getting married (for those who feel June is the only month in a year). Failure to take lives of these adolescents seriously after taking their national examinations will see them continue to draw our eyes to their pants lowered far below their buttocks and skirts raised reasonably above the stated not-to-state-twice part. In turn, seeing them christmasing in acute angles of drinking hide-outs with sugar daddies and Illovo mummies will make no news at all – what a rotten Malawi then! I’m afraid.
