Where is the downside of impeachment? Joe Biden. One might - TopicsExpress

Where is the downside of impeachment? Joe Biden. One might argue that he would not be worse than Obama, but I cannot see how he would be any better. Besides, Im not so sure that its Obama, per se, whos the problem, but the aides/advisors/cronies/hangers-on who keep whispering in his ear about what he should or shouldnt do. For example, if Obama were impeached and convicted, do you really think that Biden would fire the scumbags like Holder, etc. and replace them with anybody better? I doubt it. IMO, the proper way to block as much of the administration idiocy as possible would be for the House to not fund the programs (and/or the departments and/or portions thereof implementing the programs) that are objectionable. For example, if the EPA proposals for asset seizures without due legal process actually go forward, just dont authorize any funding for EPA until thats rescinded (of course, they dont have the spine to do that, either). Bottom line is that were truly screwed so long as the current crop of folks in DC (both parties, all three branches of govt, and virtually all the mid-level and above govt bureaucrats) hold their positions. Unfortunately, absent a large fraction of the people recognizing that our govt is the cause of most of our problems and withholding consent, that would take something like a meteor strike or catastrophic tidal wave or similar on greater DC to accomplish. And even that might not really solve things, as the quality of likely replacements waiting in the wings is probably not much different than the ones there now.
