Where is the respect for our service men and women? I ran out of treats for my babies so I ran to the store quick. There was a woman and a man in Army uniforms and I saw that the man was holding the door open and all these people started pouring out. A very select few said thank you to that man. I have to say that I was getting mad. I asked the woman if they were waiting to go in and she said they were. After some young punk flew past them, I stepped in and took the door and told the soldiers to go ahead. They thanked me, we shook hands,and I thanked them for their service to our country. Well, this older lady in heels and a dress that was way to short for her was about ready to have a heart attack because she couldnt get out of the door. I held the door for her too. She didnt say thank you or anything, so I said youre welcome. Im a smart ass like that at times. She spun around and told me that I was quite a rude young lady. I said, Im sorry, but youre rude. You had a hissy fit because you couldnt get out the door. She proceeded to tell me that she teaches Sunday School and she was in a hurry. I told her that she can teach Sunday School because of our soldiers who fight for our freedom. She said, I know all about freedom missy, my father was in Vietnam. I said good, now you better get to church so you can learn about respect. I went into the store and she stomped off. Im sure my brother, who was a Marine, will tell me I could have handled that situation better, but he knows he would have done the same ;) Lori
