Where is your edge? For many it is daring to think outside the 9-5 pace toward a vacation, retirement, or a chance to go to the big game. Ill admit, I do miss the easy days sometimes. Than the memories of succumbing to expectation and conformity of those around me, coupled with the frustration and soul sucking of mindless work toward a thin promise of a better future rush in. My edge is sometimes fighting harsh odds to overcome what folks say is impossible, but rarely these days. Now its more often a 2am exploration of the chicken coop with my daughter to make sure there are no weasels. I also work to bring folks to their own edges. My edge is pushed by sharing skills that connect folks, not only to their landscape, but to themselves and a greater community. Its also bringing folks to an understanding of how hard one must work to take care of themselves and become a valued participant in a community intent on manifesting bounty in their wake.
