Where to start, too many, anywhere and everywhere, in any industry, do not know what they are doing Jan 31 or so, I call the Disability Office to ask a question and verify whether I am on SSI or SSA, and what the difference is, as this is all new to me......bottom line is, they say I will be automatically enrolled in Medicare after 1 year, this April 2014.....and that I dont have to sign up for Obamacare, that I can if I want to, for Feb and Marc since I will be covered by Medicare in April of this year. That said, I was also told by BCBS to call them about a week before April 1 so I can cancel .....I have been trying to call them and my salesperson to no avail, I emailed her Friday, she said too busy to talk, and gave me an 888 number for Medicare Parts C&D.....as I need to speak with them as well to supplement .........so I call them.........and they are like, THIS IS FOR EXISTING SUPPLEMENTAL ........whatever.......so the sales rep said to call them,, why did she tell me to call them if it was for existing, instead of new queries.......so she kindly put me through to Obamacare.........since my BCBS is under The Affordable Care Act....I have been holding with them since, I believe, 4:05......at about 6 I thought, let me use my cell phone to call the BCBS Medicare supplement people......to get my prices for that.....I get a lady that......was nice.....but talked about everything but what I needed to talk about, stopped me in mid sentence and said, I AM ONLY FOR EXISTING SUPPLEMENTAL MEMBERS......well, then why the heck did the person I spoke to earlier give me this number....people kept leading me to this number and when you get there they try to reroute you. OK lets go back to 1 oclock this afternoon when I called Disability office......that wonderful and kind and patient and detailed gent said he had no idea who I spoke with in January at their offices that told me I would be covered on Medicare in 2014 April......and advises me that I have been covered since April of last year....so I basically did not need to apply for Obamacare......and the woman at BCBS, not my rep, my rep should cover these questions........but this woman, said.....maybe they can give you your money back, they being BCBS, and she is with BCBS but could not answer my Q and sent me to healthcare.gov on the phone, which is the long hold.........at 6, I am like, why did she send me there? BCBS would be the ones refunding me..........so I called the latter woman in BCBSs supplemental office who was also trying to hang up on me, though she said she wasnt.....heres the kicker......after thirty mins on the phone with her......she said, after I begged, okay, ill try to put you through to member services again....please, I said.....she said I tried earlier, NO SHE DID NOT.....that said, Guadalupe and Bexar counties supposedly do not have Medicare Advantage for supplement ...at least with BCBS......wanna know what the monthly premium is for that supplemental insurance they DO offer me.......953.00 a month! I asked her to repeat that......I will have to check their site.....I will call other insurance companies, but.....I am still trying to get through to member services in order to cancel my policy as I was supposed to...it was only supposed to be for two months, why cant they cancel it, I told them from day one and they understood it was for two months..... existing Feb and March policy is over today, but I am supposed to call them to remind them or advise them.......whatever....they wont call me back, and I began trying last week.....and when emailed my rep, she sent me to th wrong number that she typed into the email.......
