Where to travel in 2014? How about Mexico City..... Can one of the worlds biggest cities be undiscovered? Thats how it seems with Mexico City, where travelers are still getting to know not only the vibrant food scene, but also the art, architecture, and nightlife it has to offer. The heart of downtown, around the Zocalo, is getting plenty of attention though, since the opening of the Downtown hotel, from buzzy Grupo Habita (as well as plenty of other city hotels our readers love). And with no shortage of neighborhoods—both emerging and established—to explore, theres no better time to get started. Happily, that will get a lot easier in 2014, thanks to easier access and added airline service from various U.S. cities (which is pushing prices down), and an appealing option to fly the new 787 from New York. Interjet, a new Mexican airline, is hitting its stride too, after launching service to the States in 2012.
