Where were they starving when you were a kid? Clean your plate, there are starving kids in China. Im now wondering if my parents heard that growing up. They sure told me that. I often suggested they take that liver and onions, or brussel sprouts and send it off to those kids.....that never went over well...and if they kids got it they probably wouldnt want it either! Oh well, well it worked on me. Not then, but now! It was one of those things that I decided I wasnt going to say to my kids. I sat at the table for hours staring at cold food...it wasnt for my palate when it was hot...it wasnt getting any better cold. So when cleaning up after dinner....here I am....cant throw it away....not enough to save... I cleaned their plates....and gained over a hundred pounds....now I am not blaming that saying...OR....the starving children in China....I am just implying that it had an impact.... But back to the question....where were they starving when you were a kid??
