Where were you when the #JusticeForMichaelBrown Grand Jury verdict to not indict was handed down on the evening of Monday, November 24, 2014? Well, I was watching my youngest son Tyje, age 11, grade 7 play his favorite sport in Somerset, NJ with his teammates from the MSU Skyliners AAU Basketball Program out of Plainfield, NJ. They scored a victory (58-23) playing unselfish team ball allowing everyone who suited up to score. What I witnessed from my son Tyje is somethng that I had to capture on photo. In addition to hitting three 3-point shots and scoring 16 points in total to contribute to the teams success, he shot the most perfectly executed free-throws that I have ever seen. (Proud mommy moment). From his foot positioning, shoulder squaring, fluid hand release, and snap of the wrist with follow-through, it was shear poetry in motion to watch the ball sail effortlessly into the net with a swoosh making 2 for 2. Unlike his older brother Wesley, age 20, when he was younger and played various sports, Tyje allows me, his mom, to coach him off-line and work him out because I still got game, dont get it twisted, LOL! I was extremely proud of these made free-throws because he missed two previous foul shots earlier in the game so I had to coach him and correct him from the stands because missing free-throws is not acceptable. Tyje took the correction with ease and brought his mommy PERFECTION! I just love my boys and my simple life! #OurSonsMatter
