Whereas my last post had already irritated me, I might as well add to it. Its called Christmas, not Holidays. Happy Holidays is for people that merely want to give and receive gifts. Christmas is for people that want to celebrate Christs birth. If you are an atheist or a Satanist, shut the hell up and go away. No! You dont have the right to rain on our parade for the rest of us. You dont believe, fine we dont rain on your parade, so go away. Please explain to me how the idea of one person complaining gets to shut down the party for the rest of us? One parent calls a school, complains about the school celebrating Christmas and BAM! the school deletes Christmas and it becomes Happy Holiday party. I agree that one of the purposes of the Constitution is to give a voice to all people so that an injustice created by a majority may not unduly affect a minority. But in most circumstances, the majority has rule. If the rule is unfair or wrong, then the Constitution is there to protect. When we vote that is an exercise in majority rule...is it not. What if, instead of following majority rule, we have a drawing for the next president? Or we take the person with the least amount of votes so he would be representative of the minority. We Americans have lived our lives based on peaceful protest. Peaceful protest is a symbol of a free society and it should continue. However when you cross the line by actions or speech, by threatening others with violence, then I think you lose the right to protest. Say what you want, act the fool, yell, curse, and voice your discontent till you are hoarse, but when you threaten others with violence either through actions or language you have crossed a line of human decency and there should be repercussions. With the threat of violence, you lose all validity and become simply a threat to my way of life. On another note, I posted a video about the birthrate of various groups around the world and here.
