Whereas the vast majority of my many encounters with law enforcement has been conducted with professionalism and exceeding courtesy I, too, have had to deal with this kind of bullying and violation of rights on several occasions. Too many occasions. The more of us running cams in our cars the better. Lets get this out there to help bring about some change. Its all about accountability. Remember, pix or it didnt happen. It should also be noted that its far more practical to comply with an officers instructions that dont raise significant issues of rights (i.e., putting the window down to demonstrate cooperation) than it is to hang the Constitution on such requests. Theres a difference between standing up for our rights and unnecessarily becoming a lightening rod for the police. Its reasonable to expect them to alert to such behavior. Dont be dumb.
