Wherever I am, thats who I am. (One of my best friends, Denise C.) I am fierce, confident, loving, kind & smart. I am successful, not because of what Ive done, where I live or what I drive. Im successful because I dont do the negative things I used to do; I dont need to hurt others to make myself feel okay. I dont have to put you down to lift myself up (tho I will tell yo ass the truth if you ask me). I am successful not because of who I am but because of WHOSE I am. I am honest, hardworking and a true friend. But dont cross me cuz although I am a child of God -- I am not a doormat. I am funny, voluptuous and (at times) loud. I no longer run from my feelings -- whether theyre good or bad; I feel, heal and deal -- without a drink or a drug. I have a wide (all teeth) smile and a killer personality. Thanks to the God I serve, the hard work Ive put into my recovery over the last almost 25 years, and a support group of men and women who love me unconditionally (several of whom you will read about in the sequel), WHEREVER I am, the above is WHO I am.
