Whether its an Olympics -- summer or winter -- the World Cup or whatever, for a city to put in a bid on one requires it to already be corrupt or intentionally decide to become corrupt since it must get into bed with the IOC or FIFA, which are two crooked organizations. Good for the citizens of Oslo, Stockholm and Krakow, Poland for balking at spending public funds to subsidize corruption that makes a select few individuals richer than thieves, which is what they essentially are. The only venues still in the running for the 2022 Winter games are Kazakhstan and Beijing, two hotbeds of repression and sleaze. Maybe Borat could be named to head up the one since the whole thing is a sick joke.
