Whether you started your fitness journey today, last year, or 5 years ago- you NEED to read this. Chalene speaks the truth in this post- and its definitely worth a few minutes of your time to read it. We are WAY to hard on ourselves & many of us spend far too much time comparing ourselves to others. Let me tell you a secret that shows just how REAL this post is... Even when I was 190 lbs, I still had fabulous calves. Why? My Mom, Tammy, has AMAZING calves- she always has...so do all the other women in my family. You know what our problem area is? Our tummy! Its the last place we lose weight & the first place we gain it. Its just our DNA. So, all those days on my journey that I complained that I still didnt have a six pack but everything else was toned- those days were wasted. I shouldve focused instead on how far I had come & all the positive improvements I had made. How do I know that? Because in my efforts to gain weight, my tummy was the FIRST place it went. Yes, I have gotten bigger biceps & triceps and stronger legs, but any added body fat went straight to my tummy. Guess what? That is OKAY! Im me, and I am happy with myself. Now, its time for YOU to be happy with yourself! Whats one awesome thing youve accomplished in YOUR fitness journey? Will YOU commit to ending the trend of comparing yourself to others????
