Whew! Rossi is eating hay and comfortable. Im back home. What a long and stressful day with the best possible outcome. Appears that when Rossi fell he aggravated an existing problem that we werent even aware of (OCD to the horse folks) Cartilage was cleaned up. Dr Schneider took a look around and was happy with the way everything else was looking. Some concern with the quality of cartilage overall. Perhaps some IRAP in the future. 120 days of rest before we know how he is. He is projecting a 70% chance he goes back to the same level of work he was doing before his fall (Grand Prix Dressage) Thats better than the odds he gave Liberty after the same surgery and Liberty went on to go to higher levels than he had previously done. Wake up was a little rough. He smashed his face and cut his lip. But otherwise seems unharmed. If a fat lip is the only bad that came out of the day, its a grand success. I want to thank ALL of YOU for the well wishes and good vibes for the day. I felt each and every one of you in my pounding heart. Molly Martin Dressage Training Steve Latimer Five C Farms
