Which Kenyan Indian is involved in the latest Scandal {The Standard Gauge Railway Project}?? I have followed the convoluted debate on The Standard Gauge Railway Project with much pain; the Minister under whose Docket this hitherto, most viable but now increasingly controversial standard gauge railway line lays, CS Eng. Michael Kamau, speaking in vernacular said the Railway Line must be build. The man, together with H.E President Uhuru is out to win, what they mistakenly believe is supremacy battle with malevolent forces within the government, sponsored by either the opposition or by their erstwhile strange bedfellows from the RV. Then there is the rest of us Wanaichi, who dont seem to understand the issues at hand and therefore taking sides in the most ignorant arguments ever witnessed in our land, depending on which side of the great divide we hail from. I think we must separate the issues involved and debate them accordingly. 1. The Standard Gauge Railway Project is one of the best things to happen to Kenya since independence. 2. However viable and beneficial to the Country The Standard Gauge Railway Project is,because of the corrupt manner in which it is being done,it is not worthy selling Kenya in exchange for a Railway Line. 3. The bidding and awarding of the Tender is as corrupt as Kamlesh Pattnis Goldenberg or Sudha Ruparells Anglo-Leasing, (Note that Sudha is a daughter of Chamanlal Kamani of the Police Mahindra scandal). 4. I may be wrong, but I suspect that, there must be a prominent Kenyan Indian involved in this, and as it was with the others, Kenya will lose big time. My appeal: Your Excellency sir, shelve the God- forsaken Project q
