Which grade would you rather have on your final exam...an 89, which is a B or a 90, which is an A? 9 days of vacation or 10? The difference between the 2...is one! One! Today is Giving Tuesday. One person can make a huge impact on someones day, someones week, or someones entire life. Dont ever think for a second that you are just one person in this big world and that your actions will not matter...They will. You can be the one that turns someones B day into an A day! Giving is not just about money. I have to stress this because most of us automatically think when someone uses the word Give that they have to go out and buy something. That is not true at all. Giving comes from the heart and whatever it is that your heart tells you to do is what you should do. Smiling at a perfect stranger is free and you never know who could use one. I remember when I was in my early 20s and worked in Downtown San Diego. I had to walk to the bank every morning to drop our stores deposits. One morning, a woman walked up to me and shared that she had noticed me walking every morning and wondered what it was that I was always smiling about. Funny thing was that I never even realized I was smiling but even at 22 years old, my response was simple...why not? Leave a post it for your husband or wife on their steering wheel, thanking them for loving you and doing what they do. Leave a note for your kids on their bathroom mirror encouraging them to be kind and have a great day! Tell your co workers how much you appreciate them because without them you would have not have a team. Offer to help someone with chores or cooking. We all suffer with finding time but its amazing what you can do for someone in 15 minutes! Make today the day that you begin your life of giving...it doesnt have to be just for today because of its title, but if it is...Thank you! You never know the difference you will make in someones life...you, the one person you are, will make a difference! Never under estimate the power of 1!
