Which is the greater sin for the history snob onlooker: Shop/food workers in barely historical attire (with no intention to improve or learn and therefore perpetuates misconceptions about what clothes looked like) for the sake of wearing it or wearing plainclothes (while possibly jarring, it avoids the issue of people wearing garb which only serves to make them not look modern but simultaneously looks nothing like Elizabethan).
