While Central Juncos rostered two Fairmont Speeders for track work more distant from the mill, the jobs around the immediate area was handled by a far more primitive form of track transportation. Here the old school method of going out to do trackwork is being employed as a crew rolls a handcar down the grade from the shed and begins to align it on the track. A few minutes later, human power has prevailed and the antiquated device is rolling off to its nearby destination. Talk about working up a sweat! Perhaps the guys from ATI can give us a demonstration with their newly restored handcar. I hope I am there to see it! I might even bring my video camera!
