While I do have to say that it was JC Penneys fault that the wrong item was sent, all I can say is, WOW!!!! to their customer service. I purchased the item (a Christmas present which I why I am not revealing what the item is) online at a SUBSTANTIAL discount during their doorbuster, cyber sale. Called customer service just now to let them know that not only was the item the wrong size but, it was totally the wrong style than what I ordered. The customer representative was very apologetic and proceeded to try and get the correct item and size sent. Alas, it was out of stock... I thought, oh no. Not a problem for customer service though! She had me get on the JC Penney website, while I was talking to her on the phone and she worked with me going through alternative but, similar styles. This took a while as the particular size needed was out of stock repeatedly. Finally, she found something! It was EXPENSIVE (3 times the price of the item I had originally ordered before it went on sale) but, they did have the correct size in stock. Now, I figured they would give me some sort of discount because this item was not the same in price comparison at all, currently and never was on sale, etc. but, I would have to pay a difference in price. However, SURPRISE! JC Penney is free shipping the alternative item to me 2 to 3 business days and is sending it as an even exchange on the sale price of the item I originally purchased.... I am still a little blown away and in shock! Someone is getting one heck of surprise at Christmas! Thank you JC Penney for providing your customer service reps the ability to make decisions and follow though with tremendous service! You rock!
