While I have never been accussed of being a University of Maryland fan while living near Annapolis, I do recognize the schools ability to recruit some of the very talented athletes from the surrounding areas. However, I would have to say this pre-game display of a complete lack of sportsmanship by the Captains of the Maryland Football Team is nothing short of a complete lack of respect for the traditions of the game of football and is a telling display of exactly what is wrong with the game today. I sincerely hope none of the 400 kids who play football for my Green Hornets Organization ever try to emulate this kind of sportsmanship when they go to play a game. Reading into Kevin Andersons (MD AD) response via twitter, he states they are very disappointed in the actions of their captains. My question Kevin is - As the former Athetic Director at West Point, if you are disapointed in your Football Teams Captains actions yesterday, why are they still the Teams Captains today?
