While I stand by tonights Grand Jury decision, I put my personal feelings aside and pray for peace (and urge others to do the same!). These protests are absolutely disgusting, embarrassing, and absolutely accomplishing nothing—nothing. Peaceful protest is one thing, this is another. Burning cars, buildings, American flags? Shooting off several rounds of gunfire? That proves nothing. That accomplishes nothing. AND furthermore, while I strongly disagree with those who may be disappointed with tonights decision, I respect them and their opinions. However, those coming out in support of this violence; promoting and condoning these disgusting actions—I have no respect for you as you are part of the problem here. Its time for people to become educated, to see the facts as they are, and to respect the system of justice that serves our country. Respect—thats something I am not seeing tonight. Our countrys law is our law, and is not changing; our justice system is fair, and is not changing. I will never understand unrest like this.
