While I was very pleased with Theos progress the last few days, and so was his weekday therapist this morning, I am fuming over the BS I was subjected to today. Due to the ever-changing discharge date, depending on who you talk to on what day, I wanted to meet with his case/discharge manager today to talk over possibilities of where they are going to send him. I have connections with a company that evaluates medical facilities for various reasons and want to run these places by them to help make a final decision with his family. I was told this person (who was not the person I talked to last) was around today. I was there at 9:30 this morning and stayed around waiting for this person to see me until almost 4 pm, when the nurse came in and said this case manager wouldnt give me any time because Im not family. However, the family that was here over the weekend asked for me to get these specifics for them because (A) they dont live nearby and (B) because they dont speak English very well. I said, thanks for wasting my day, I should send you a bill and left. I came home and called his brother in New York, asking him to call and put me on this particular persons good guy, family approved list. He just called back and only got the same info from this breathing turd that every nurse gave me all day. Unbelievable.
