While I was walking on a short route with Bailey this morning, God - TopicsExpress

While I was walking on a short route with Bailey this morning, God showed me several pieces of His handiwork. There were a few little snowflakes falling and it as very cold, so we didnt walk very far. First the sky was somewhat interesting with its hues of pink and gray caused by the early sun peeking in and out of the heavy clouds as it was coming up. Later, as I continued with my walk, there was a beautiful hawk sitting in a tree by the street. Of course, when I was about 15-20 yards away, it spread its wings and flew away. Then, my thoughts were distracted by the things going on around me. There was a nearby car alarm and a couple of barking dogs, which Bailey completely ignores. All of these disrupted my focus on my thoughts and on my prayers. As we go through our every day life we encounter many distractions. These distractions affect the way we perform, the way we act and the way we treat those that are around us. We lose our focus on the important things and get caught up in just trying to survive the day. We must learn to focus on Jesus. When we are looking to Him, we no longer wander aimlessly through our lives without any direction. However, we must keep that focus and not look back (see Luke 9:62). If we let Him, Christ will guide us through our trials each day. When our focus is entirely on Him, we develop a faith that grows stronger daily and we can easily endure whatever is before us (see Heb. 12:1b-2a). We have a sense of purpose; we know where our journey ends.
