While Im all about making memories in the outdoors, sometimes memories are made FOR me. Like what happened to me October 15th exactly one year ago right now, to this very second even, when I inauspiciously walked up onto 3 wolves feasting on a deer a mere 40 feet away from me near my bow stand in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!!! It rained most of that day and the ground was soft and so quiet to walk on. Off I went into the dark of the night on foot, with a dim, cheap, flashlight . . . and no weapon!!!! I had forgotten my pistol at Camp before I went to swap out memory cards on my trail camera; even after I set it on the bench next to my 4 wheeler before leaving!!! Those 3 wolves took a fraction of a second to forget about eating and immediately started protecting what they were eating by backing me down, snarling, and growling at me, and snapping their chops at me ferociously; something I didnt know they did!! I Swear to God Himself right now the hair is standing up on my neck, back, shoulders, and arms just writing about this!!! Every single one of those 365 days that have passed me by, those 3 wolves have been on my mind, and multiple times a day too!!! Mr. Black Wolf, Mrs. White Wolf, and Mr. Calico Wolf, all with bloody faces, necks and chests and front legs. We will meet up again . . . I JUST KNOW IT!!!!!!!
