While at Dillons today, while I was getting a little something for the lass (whos birthday today made us parents forever!,) a very poignant and wonderful thing happened. The young lady helping me was asking me all the questions, when I looked to my left and there was a little vase with a lamb on it. And I thought of the song we sang for our children and taught to them, and having her birthday in my head, this little lamb made me think of it and immediately tear up so bad I couldnt talk for a minute. The lady at the desk was so wonderful. She waited for a second and I choked out something about memories. and finally, could continue the transaction. When I took the ticket to make the payment, and then returned with the paid ticket, she had wrapped up the little lamb vase with the plant still in it, with a no charge ticket on it, and a note that said for the memories. Oh, my, Ive not shed so many happy tears in some time. And the song was this: I am Jesus little lamb Ever glad at heart I am For my shepherd gently guides me, Knows my needs, and doth provide me Loves me everyday the same Even calls me by my name!
